Why do some republicans hate unions?

Before you begin to hate or dislike Unions remember why they were created in the first place. Before unions americans workers were being payed to little, workd over 10 hours a day, worked in very dangerous working conditions( alot of people died) kids were over work'd so much that many did not get a education, no vacation, no health benefits etc. etc. Now that unions exist many of those problems are obsolete or are going to be. When republicans say they "support the american worker" I find that difficult to believe, because they demonize unions. You know who else demonizes them those corporate bullies that were responsible for the problems before unions
