Why Are Bush Supporters So Upset?

They will get over it. Obama is a controversial choice, he is black, he has a big old question mark over his eligibility for the Presidency at all and he is very left wing. He is not really your average candidate and he is rather ground breaking . We have had a conservative government for a long time, I think it will all settle down. Strong feeling all round is to be expected I think. I didn't vote for him and I am not interested in watching the ceremony tomorrow, its really for his supporters but I am not furious either. However, I am not a republican to be fair. I hate Obamas policies and some of Bush's actually which is why I have gone to the third party choice but I thought that Obama made a very fair essment of Bush, when he called him a decent man who loved his family and his country. I have never thought he was bad or corrupt, misled maybe but evil, no. I was mildly impressed at Obamas generous and polite essment of him. A far cry from the Clintons who pilfered from the Whitehouse and defaced property-Hateful pair.At least the Democrats had the good sense not to elect that awful woman. What does amaze me is how much credence we give just one man albeit Obama or Bush, there is a congress you know , in place to stop any one man having too much power. Its a very strange thing how we blame the figurehead almost completely.
