Pregancy Dilema ... help !!!!!?
This happened to me as well. I was battling high blood pressure with touches of protein in my urine through out my 4th pregnancy. The ultrasound is used for a number of things. They will be checking the baby to make sure it is still growing and to check its heart rate, the flow of blood through the umbilical cord, the babies movement, etc. Also at the last ultra sound i asked what the tech was looking at and she said that babies practice breathing and she can see the movement of the diaphragm. This will let them know the chances of the baby breathing on its own if it were to be induced. My fluid was low and they decided he had a better chance outside of me than in. That we could be facing neurological problems if he were to stay in from lack of oxygen and nutrients. I delivered a healthy baby boy at 35 weeks on august 16th. He was a bit on the small side at 4lbs 9 1/2 ounces but he got to come home with me. Everything was fine. And he is now a healthy almost 9 week old. Keep the hospital bag handy and try not to worry. Best of luck to you
